ChatGPT Recommends Your Competitors: What Is Behind It

Ask ChatGPT about a business like yours in your region. If your competitors are named and you are not, that is a warning sign. More and more people ask an AI instead of Google, and they get a direct answer with just a few names.

Why this is a problem

On Google there are ten results. In an AI answer there is often only a short paragraph with two or three recommendations. If you are missing, you are not compared, not called and not hired at that moment.

Why you do not appear

AI systems name businesses about which they find clear, verifiable information. For many small businesses this fails in the same places:

  • Your website does not say clearly what you offer, where and for whom.
  • Business details are contradictory or incomplete online.
  • Few places online mention or review you.
  • The site is built in a way that systems find hard to read.

GEO and AEO

Professionals call this GEO (generative engine optimisation) and AEO (answer engine optimisation). It means preparing your information so that AI systems find, understand and repeat it. There are no guarantees, because nobody controls what an AI answers. But you can make sure it has the right information about you.

What we do

We make sure there is clear, verifiable information about you that AI systems can find and understand. For new websites this is part of the work from the start, and you can also book it separately for your existing website.

In the free first call (30 minutes) we look at where you stand in AI answers today.

Let’s talk.

One short call and you know where you stand – even if we are not the right fit.
