2. In short

We process only the data needed to run this website and to handle your enquiries. Statistics (Google Analytics) run only if you agree in the cookie notice. We use no advertising services, embed no third-party content (no maps, videos, fonts or social media plugins from external servers) and do not sell data.

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by Hostinger. The provider is Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos str., 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus. The provider processes the data that arises when the website is accessed (see section 4) on our behalf. We have a data processing agreement with it pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. The servers are located in a data centre in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing the website securely, quickly and reliably (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

4. Server log files

When you visit the website, the server automatically stores data that your browser transmits: IP address, date and time of the request, page requested, amount of data transferred, status code, browser type and operating system, and the previously visited page (referrer). We need this data to deliver the page, to find errors and to ward off attacks. We do not combine it with other data and do not use it to identify you personally.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation). The log data is stored only as long as necessary for this and is then deleted automatically.

5. Cookies, local storage and cookie settings

Without your consent we set no cookies for statistics, marketing or tracking (with consent, see section 8). The website stores only these entries on your device (in your browser’s “local storage”):

  • “theme”: your choice between light and dark design, if you use the switch. It stays until you delete it.
  • “simnify-consent”: your choice in the cookie notice (“Accept” or “Decline”) with the date. We store it so we do not have to ask you again on every page. After twelve months we ask again.

Both entries are technically necessary so that the website can apply the setting you explicitly asked for or your decision. We need no consent for this (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG). The data does not leave your device.

We set optional cookies, for example for statistics, only with your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25 (1) TDDDG). You can choose “Decline” just as easily as “Accept”. You can change your decision at any time with effect for the future: click “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page. If you decline, the website remains fully usable.

6. Getting in touch

Contact form. If you write to us via the form, we process the details you enter: name, email address, the topic you chose and your message. We use them only to answer your enquiry and to prepare a quote. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your enquiry aims at a contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (our interest in answering enquiries). Required fields are marked; without them we cannot reply. The form sends your details by email through our server at Hostinger to our mailbox (info@simnify.com); they are not stored in a database on the website. To protect against misuse, the server keeps a hash of your IP address for one hour to limit the number of enquiries (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). We keep your enquiry for as long as it is needed to handle it.

Email and phone. If you write to us by email or call us, we process your contact details and the content of the message or call only to handle your request (Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR). Emails are not encrypted end to end in transit. Please do not send us particularly confidential data by email.

WhatsApp. We link to WhatsApp. Only when you click the link and write to us there does WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland) process data under its own privacy policy. Merely visiting our page does not transfer any data to WhatsApp.

We store your enquiry as long as needed to handle it. If no contract is concluded, we delete it after six months at the latest. If a contract is concluded, we keep the documents for as long as commercial and tax law require (usually six or ten years).

7. External links

This website contains links to Instagram, LinkedIn and WhatsApp as well as to our clients’ websites. They are plain links, not embedded plugins. Only when you click a link do you leave our website, and the respective provider processes data under its own privacy policy. We are not responsible for that processing. The Google reviews on our homepage are reproduced as text; no connection to Google is made.

8. Web analytics

If you choose “Accept” in the cookie notice, we use Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager to understand how the website is used and to improve it. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Cookies are set and data such as pages viewed, time on page, approximate location (from the shortened IP address), device, browser and the page you came from is sent to Google. We use this data only as statistics across all visitors. If you choose “Decline”, neither Tag Manager nor Google Analytics is loaded and no connection to Google is made.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25 (1) TDDDG). Google may transfer data to the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, on which the transfer is based. Data in Google Analytics is deleted after 14 months. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future: click “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page and choose “Decline”.

We use Google Search Console only to see which search terms lead to the website in Google Search. It sets nothing on your device.

9. Your rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right to object: Where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR), you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.

Withdrawal of consent: You can withdraw consent you have given at any time with effect for the future, for example via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page. The lawfulness of processing carried out until then remains unaffected.
