Businesses in Saxony-Anhalt can have digitalization projects subsidized through the state's investment bank. For websites and online marketing, though, the rules are narrower than many headlines suggest. This overview separates what applies according to IB Saxony-Anhalt from what doesn't. Two programs,
two different purposes.
Digital Innovation is aimed at small and mid-sized businesses with a registered office or operating site in Saxony-Anhalt. According to the IB, it funds things like the digitalization of processes and business models, digital marketing and sales strategies, and IT security. The grant is up to 50 percent of eligible costs, capped at €70,000 per project, for a project volume between €3,000 and €200,000 and a duration of up to twelve months.
Digital Creativity, by contrast, is not a program for the classic company website. It funds the development and production of innovative, interactive digital applications such as games, apps, or cross-media projects, with a minimum grant of €25,000. If you only want to refresh your company site, don't build expectations on this one.

Keep an eye on the dates
According to the IB, the 8th application round of Digital Innovation opens on September 28, 2026 at 1:00 pm, with the 9th expected on November 30, 2026. A round closes once 90 applications are in, so windows can be very short.

Check whether your project fits the program
What matters is the core of the project: digital marketing and sales are named explicitly, while a pure visual refresh without a strategic digitalization component doesn't automatically qualify. The IB hotline (0800 56 007 57) can clarify individual cases.

Clarify funding conditions before the project starts
Grants regularly come with rules about when a project may begin. Please ask the IB about these conditions directly before awarding any contracts.

Plan for consulting costs
According to the IB, consulting services count toward the grant only up to a maximum of €6,000. A quote should therefore break services down cleanly.
